Two important birthdays

In the period in which Turin portrays itself as the capital of contemporary art and design, on 10 November 2018 Simpol and its staff created an event of attraction and aggregation at the MRF space, in Corso Luigi Settembrini 164, to celebrate an important birthday, or rather two: the 3 years since the birth of Simpol and the 30 years of its backbone, Simone Arena.

The Concept

The event had as its main purpose the exhibition of the works of many young artists who have collaborated with SIMPOL over the course of these three 3 years: illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, videomakers, musicians, all gathered in a single large collective exhibition to celebrate the professionalism and talent of a generation too often considered not up to par. Exhibited works and live performances by emerging and established artists have given life to this amazing event, and Parkour's spectacular performances have given an adrenaline rush to the entire audience!

39 Talenti Torinesi, 19 partners, 767 confirmed passages, Over 150 emails requesting accreditation after the declared sold out, Over 500K social interactions generated in just 4 hours of the event.

During the evening, several musicians and live artists performed! Thanks to the Project-to audio/video show promoted by Seeyousound and several artists from SoundShape, the live painting performance by Max Petrone and the exhibition of the photographic exhibition “Projections” and “Live Projections” of the celebrated SimOne Arena, the event was nothing short of a success!

There is no budget

The post-industrial image of the location characterized by the presence of containers, reinforced concrete and exposed trellises proved to be perfect for recreating a real Art Factory. The communicative idea, which characterized the evening, wanted to exploit all the clichés of the world of communication and to revisit them in an ironic key: “There is no budget.” The leitmotif of the event, explains the presence of the numerous business partners who believed in the project and supported it, such as, in alphabetical order, ColorLife, Diplomatico, Fantinel, Fowa (Hasselblad, Broncolor, DJI, Cooph, Epson), Fujifilm, Italia Independent, Ligier Group, Piano B, Riflessi Shop, Redbull, SeeYouSound, Sideshape and Vini Mo. Young people and very enterprising adults known in the area thanks to their success stories, they had the opportunity to get to know each other with the aim of creating a network for the development and growth of an increasingly strong, ambitious and united creative community.
