Tracks | The project

Children with congenital heart disease find themselves having to face battles much bigger than them from an early age.

They have to overcome very delicate interventions from the first days of life and everyone has in common a truly surprising strength and courage, they can overcome post-operative rehabilitation with disarming simplicity.

Tracce wants to reflect this reality, conveying a strong and at the same time comforting message. A small mirror for all those people who, upon learning of their pregnant child's heart disease, find themselves in front of a precipice and do not know what path to take, letting them know not only the hard, difficult and indelible side that distinguishes them but also that breathtaking view that there is at the top of the mountain.
A peak that can be reached mainly thanks to trust and love.

Scars and crazy hearts

A project dedicated to all people who are in difficulty, to give them the strength to move forward despite everything and to sensitize those who are not aware of these problems. The 6 children portrayed in the Traces project alongside their parents, are the spokespersons for those 500,000 children in the world who are born every year with congenital heart disease.

The project consists of a photo shoot for children with heart disease who have undergone surgery to fix their crazy hearts together with their parents. Next to each other, they show their scars, in children they are evident, in parents they are drawn on the skin like those of their children, to highlight wounds that cannot be seen but are there and are just as indelible.

Why the photos? Because images sometimes manage to reach where words cannot, they remain etched in the memory as indelible signs.
The proceeds were donated to the Association of Friends of Cardiopathic Children onlus at the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital in Turin.
