The online school for developers, No. 1 in Italy, asked us to help it find new students. How to attract the attention of a future web developer in a few seconds?
Being able to address a target that lives online and, even more so, being able to surprise them in a few seconds. This was the challenge we accepted.
Aided by VFX special effects, we responded to the request, representing surprising twists within scenes of the target's daily life: a series of videos with a high visual impact, to create online advertising campaigns focused on retargeting and prospecting.
We have identified two key subjects - a future web developer and a data analyst - analyzing their expectations and doubts.
In response to the analysis, different videos were created to which a specific purpose was assigned: to tell the product, the academy, the fundamentals camp and the career orientation and consequently created special creativity and storytelling to lead the end user to explore the individual pages proposed.
In addition, the study and development of creative storyboards rich in VFX and direct questions with the viewer in the very first seconds of the video, were the hooks designed to immediately capture attention.
After the writing of the multilingual voice-overs and the drafting of the storyboards, the entire pre-production phase followed: the design of the spaces and sets, the scouting of the protagonists and the pros were fundamental steps to be able to recreate scenes with a high visual impact.
The entire production team worked on the production of the videos.
Four locations, specially set up to recreate homely situations, were the backdrop for the shooting, concentrated on a single day of production.
Sliders, wide angles, macro and 360° lenses and green screen shooting have been used to produce attractive visual effects and dynamic montages.
The 4 videos have been declined and optimized to be used on the main social channels, allowing Boolean to create campaigns not only for awareness but also for lead generation and prospecting.
The hero video selected to welcome visitors to Boolean's YouTube page has garnered more than 1 million views in less than a month since its publication.
